It’s a mystery who built this town, but it’s pretty much the only semi-safe haven in the realm so let’s not ask too many questions, okay? Basic human living goes on in here, there’s running water and electricity but very little to go around. Currency is measured in how charismatic you can be when short a bartering fee, which is usually carried out in favors like slaying a monster for the sake of revenge or the like. Like a modern dark-age. Various debris and scrap metal makeup the structure of the buildings, most of which heavily rusted and corroded to the point that tiny holes are apparent on the surface. There are other structures residing within the town that have all the more curious origins, being that they possess very futuristic architecture but cease to function how they may have once before. As previously stated, this town is a mystery to its current inhabitants but that doesn’t matter much when the large, fortified walls of the city protect you from the dripping jowls of a beast hungry to rip open whatever vulnerable creature happens by.

No New Posts Noćnamora Outskirts

The outskirts of the city is littered with bone fragments belonging, not to the human population, but the monsters that dared try challenging the power of a large group of terrified, exhausted, angry people. They may look squishy and delicious, but do not be fooled. Days without alcohol and caffeine would drive the quietest man into a bloody outrage; racking the closest thing disturbing his piece with a large metal pipe that would have otherwise been incapable to cause such injuries. Nevertheless, the bodies of the slain are displayed proudly on long pikes: Forewarning any beast that come near with any sense at all to not fuck with the creature with opposable thumbs, and the largest, most adaptable brain capable of doing what has allowed man to dominate the food-chain: Thought.
Then again, how much does that really count for when the opposition possesses, although a far more inferior brain, blood-stained fangs five feet long?

No New Posts Noćnamora Woods

Only the sound of breakage, whether of bone, stick or leaf, rings through the pulsating trees. Their branches may bear no leaves, but that strange growth drooling from within the trunk is a clear sign life resides. This would be a terrible place to become lost, a feat that would be rather simple considering the thick haze making it impossible to see much farther than a few steps ahead. Who knows what lurks in these woods yet to be discovered! Just when you think you’ve evaded danger, another monster is breathing on your neck, making an incompetent swipe. You catch your breath in your throat, wide-eyed and anxious you fall back against a lump gushing from the tree. Feeling the squishy, damp texture beat in your grasp the mixed feelings of fear and disgust over-power your reasoning and you begin pleading with the monster, aware it would not understand but you refuse to have it end this way. But it does. Which is exactly why no one willingly ventures into the forest!

No New Posts Noćnamora Plains

Far off from the city, whether you ventured through the woods pouring haze at the edges onto the plains of Noćnamora, very few travel this far. At the end of the plain, resides literally nothing--Just an infinite chasm of nonexistence. No one is certain what becomes of a man that enters the whiteness, for it is the same concept as death. Once someone enters, they never come back to tell the tale. There are those that are brave enough to stand at its edge, even those daring enough to insert a finger or hand. However, once doing so they are pulled by an unknown force... some of these individuals were either sucked in wholly, manage to pull out (lol), or in the worst scenario, some are even ripped in half. I say we not risk such things. It took luck to reach the plains, vacant but oddly enough lovely in its cruel fashion. It offers no protection from the beasts, unless you’re small enough to quiver under a shrub or something. It took luck to survive long enough to reach this destination, even more luck to not be killed, and all the more luck involved in the journey back to the city safely. That’s a lot of luck better off not wasted on teasing death.

Realnost has become the scorn of the nation. Once dubbed the best place to live, it was the hardest fall from grace. After the toxin, communications have been cut-off causing a public panic which leads to frequent riots near city hall and the government facilities. Somewhere between those large buildings resides the notorious rebel group that calls themselves ‘Revelation’. In catastrophic times such as these, it is not uncommon for people to begin to lose their civility so you can’t really blame them for reverting to their instinctive habits. However, the community for the most part is managing on quite fine outside the chaotic times. Those unaffected by the toxin carry on their lives, going to work and coming home. Since the toxin, you may even say that Realnost has become just another American city like New York or San Francisco. But for how long? With supplies running low, more and more people are giving up and simply doing as they please. It’s only a matter of time until the reserved energy fails and the entire city is left without power. And then the food will run out. The anxiety is building for desperate people catapulted into desperate times.
